Entrepreneurship Education and Its Effect on Entrepreneurial Intentions of Omani Undergraduate Students

Entrepreneurial capacity building is one of the important strategies to boost economic growth in general and solve unemployment problems particular. Governments across world have taken wider initiatives encourage entrepreneurship among younger generations. Oman has never been an exception this phenomenon. It introduced several initiative programs promote Country. One came year 2015 when Ministry Higher Education made it mandatory for all higher education institution (HEIs) Country introduce a course on Entrepreneurship their academic programs. Since 2015-2016, HEIs country training students as national requirement. In background, purpose paper report effects education, which initiative, students’ entrepreneurial intention at Country’s second biggest university, University Nizwa. full cohort (N=349) who registered required (MNGT100) Nizwa, Fall 2019-2020 Semester was surveyed. The findings show that can positively influence intentions students. well policy implications strengthening enhancing will further enhance intentions.
